Ace's Story

For anyone that knows me, I have been “rescuing” cats since I could walk and talk! And for anyone who doesn’t know me yet, my name is Teresa! I am a Registered Veterinary Technician and an Army Veteran! I have dreamed of having my own rescue nearly my entire life. I have taken many cats and kittens in along the way of my many adventures in life.

My rescue is named for my first official rescue during one of my Veterinary ER shifts. It was a rough shift, as many of them are, but this one in particular had been one of those nights that hurt your animal-loving soul! And frankly, I couldn’t take one more death; especially one of such a loving, young cat, Ace. His owner couldn’t afford the surgery and treatment he required and was on the verge of euthanizing. But instead, they agreed to relinquish him to me so that I could pay for his treatment and give him a fighting chance. He was only with us for 2 years, but his memory lives with me Furever.
